The Duncanville Varsity girls basketball team has advanced to the Region 1 regional tournament this Friday and Saturday. The Pantherettes will play Midland at 8 pm, Friday at Wilkerson Greines in Fort Worth.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. There will be a $5 parking fee.
Pantherettes in Regional QuarterFinals
The Pantherettes sailed through the Bi-District and Area rounds of the playoffs with wins against Trinity, 55-37 and Plano East, 48-35. They will continue their play-off run against Southlake Carroll, Tuesday, February 22. They will play at Irving MacArthur at 6:00pm. Good Luck Pantherettes.
Pantherette Begin Playoff Run
The Pantherettes will play their BiDistrict playoff game on Monday, February 14th at 6:00pm. The game will be at Arlington Lamar High School and the Pantherettes will be playing Trinity High School. Good Luck Pantherettes.
Pantherettes Finish District Undefeated
The Pantherettes completed the sweep of district 5 opponents. Despite the schedule changes due to weather, the Pantherettes closed out district 5-5A with three strong wins over Mansfield 89-48, Mansfield Timberview 56-43, and South Grand Prairie 93-18.
Pantherettes Continue Win Streak
The Pantherettes remain undefeated in district play with another win Friday night over Midlothian in the Sandra Meadows Arena, 48 - 17. With three games remaining in district play, the Pantherettes remain in the top spot in District 5 - 5A. The Pantherettes will travel to Mansfield High School on Tuesday, February 1st, play at home Friday, February 4th against South Grand Prairie, and finish up district play on the road against Mansfield Timberview on Tuesday, February 8th.
Pantherettes Go Undefeated in the
First Half of District Play
The Pantherettes completed the first half of district Friday night at home with a big win over Mansfield Timberview, 67-56. The Pantherettes will startup the second half Tuesday night, January 18th, at 6:00pm in the Sandra Meadows Arena against Mansfield Legacy.
Sandra Meadows Tournament
The Pantherettes start day one of the Sandra Meadows Tournament with two big wins against Grace Prep and Flower Mound. The Pantherettes continue play Wednesday, December 29 at 6:00pm in the Sandra Meadows Arena.
Pantherettes Start District 3 - 0
The Pantherettes go into the Christmas holiday break with a 3 - 0 record in district. They have posted wins against Microsoft Legacy, Cedar Hill, and Grand Prairie.
Pantherettes Post Big Wins
During Thanksgiving Holidays
The Pantherettes had a successful Thanksgiving holiday week. They went on the road on Tuesday night and earned a victory over Arlington Bowie 61-49. On Friday afternoon they traveled to Bishop Lynch and took away a 53-28 victory. The Pantherettes will continue their preseason play at the DeSoto tournament December 2 - 4.
Pantherettes Head Out on the Road

Skyline Game Date Change
The Varsity game with Skyline has been changed to Saturday, November 13. The game will be played in the Sandra Meadows Arena at 3:00pm.
First Scrimmage Date Changed
The date for the first scrimmage of the season for the Pantherettes has changed to November 2nd. Coppell will be coming to Sandra Meadows Arena for the scrimmage.
Basketball Parent Mandatory Meeting
We will have a mandatory informational meeting this Thursday, Oct 14, at 6:30 to 7:30 in the Sandra Meadow Memorial Arena.
Information for the upcoming season that starts next Wednesday, Oct 20, will be discussed. Also, teams and parents will be introduced.

Girls Basketball Playoffs
The Duncanville HS girls varsity basketball team was defeated by Irving MacArthur in the regional quarterfinal playoff round on Tuesday, February 23. We would like to thank the Pantherettes for all their hard work and for a great season!

PANTHERETTES NOMINATED TO THE MCDONALD'S ALL AMERICAN TEAM
Today, February 10, 2010, senior Pantherettes Akil Simpson, Shay Turner and Ashley Roberts will be presented with certificates from McDonald's for being nominated to the McDonald's All American team. The presentation will be at 2:00pm in the Sandra Meadow Memorial Arena. Congratulations to these senior Pantherettes!
SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR JANUARY 15
The Duncanville varsity and junior varsity girls basketball team will play at home against South Grand Prairie on January 15th. The varsity girls will tip off at 6:00pm in the Sandra Meadows Arena. The junior varsity girls will begin at 7:30 in the Red Gym.
Desoto Tournament

The Duncanville varsity girls basketball team won the Desoto Tournament this past weekend beating Cleburne, Plano West, Skyline, and Desoto. The Pantherettes remain undefeated with a record of 14 wins and 0 losses. The Lady hoopsters are ranked #1 in the State and #9 in the Nation. Come out and support our Pantherettes to stay undefeated in basketball action!!!"
The 9A girls basketball team won the 3rd place trophy in the Skyline Tournament this past weekend and the 9 Blue team took home the consolation trophy. Good Job Pantherettes!!
Flower Mound Tournament
The
Duncanville Varsity girls basketball team won the Flower Mound Tourney
defeating the host team 63 to 48. The Pantherettes other wins in the tourney
were over Carrolton Creekview, Mansfield Legacy, and Euless Trinity. Bunny
Williams made MVP of tourney and Ashley Roberts and Akil Simpson were
selected to the All Tournament team.
Congratulations to DHS Pantherette Head Coach and Assistant Athletic Director, Cathy Self-Morgan. The Pantherette's 50-44 win over Cedar Hill on Monday, January 12, brought Coach Self's overall record to 800 wins and 186 losses in 31 years.
